August 17-21   9:00am - 3:30pm

Explore camp will involve lots of learning through exploration.

The kids will help steer the activities we do.  They will be presented with options, they will collaborate on the choices and decide together.  Do not hold us fast on the list of options, as the children often start with one project that often leads us on an adventure that just....happens.

Some of the exploration options will

BEGIN with:

-  wire                                -  bus trip

-  paint                               -  PRT Trip

-  plants                             -  topo maps

-  wood                              -  power tools

-  graphite                         -  cellulose

-  tape                               -  glue

-  plaster                           -  historical tours

-  worms                           -  composting

-  book making                 -  sketchbook/journal making

-  art and architecture tour of Morgantown

-  Al's Shoe Repair Shop Tour 2.0

-  video interviewing and editing

-  and any spontaneous adventure that dares to temp us!

OUTCOME potential will be a variety of (but not limited to):

-  energetic wood sculptures                       - wild pencil drawings

-  electrifying sculptural wire drawing          - body parts (from plaster casts)

-  life sized self-sculpture                            - rise in children's excitement to learn

-  elevated creative intellect                        - class made video

-  fond memories and all of the unpredictable fun and learning that comes from exploration and spontaneity

Warning: Learning through exploration is often unpredictable, therefore, the physical/project outcomes may vary outside the predicted list...ditto, on the emotional and intellectual outcomes.

Tuition:  $130 - 160 (depends on amount of students enrolled)

Healthy snacks will be provided throught the day.  Children must bring their own lunch.

*This is a camp in which all princes and princesses must be in adventure mode which requires wearing practical clothing, such as closed shoes (no glass slippers or shoes that can't handle hiking, and construction, etc), and "work" clothes (clothes that will not devastate the princess or king and queen if it gets a blemish).
